Thoroughly Modern Millie
I’m glad opening night is finally over and I’m glad that it went well. Only a few disasters, lol jk I think there was one or two. Including the fact that I’m congested like nobodies business. Seriously I’m unable to breath, talk, sing, hear properly. I keep thinking that it’ll go away if I will it too… but it’s just sitting in my chest killing me. I’ve never been this congested before… it’s hard to get excited for a show when you’re dead.
It’s funny to see Mark, Alexis, John, Nicki and them up there. I’m thinking I’ll write them little letters regarding this, but seeing them up there made me teary eyed. I saw the people who welcomed me with open arms to high school theatre. I was a freshman surrounded by these wonderful actors and now I’m watching them in awe like, ‘I never even dreamed’. I’m happy to see them… even if I’m not close to them. I see them as my idols and the people I strive to be this time next year.
On that note, I’m kinda scared of what’s to come because I’m watching them grow so much. It’s a scary thought that after Sunday- I could possibly never see any of them again. So brilliant, it’s kind of crazy to think… soon someone will be mourning me [or so I hope].
