Today we mark the anniversary of a loss…
Alysse Nicholson lost her battle with brain cancer one year ago today. She was only a freshmen at my school, and I only knew her through her sister- a former theatre mate of mine. I, personally, never knew her closely in high school, rather knowing her and her sister in middle school in our productions then. She was a beautiful girl. Fiery until the end and beautiful in her wake, she was remembered across her grade today.
Cancer does not kill spirit. May she rest in peace and may her family have gotten through the day knowing her soul is at rest.
